FEELING UNREAL or far away from one’s surroundings and possibly disembodied and cut off, are some of the symptoms that may be experienced. It is extremely common with 50% of ‘normal’ people having experienced it. One way to overcome it is to accept that for a while it is part of life, it is not at all dangerous or important. Positive thought helps a great deal and the when the sufferer works to raise the mind’s focus from self, to the world outside the feeling will ease.
